Hail to the Icons out next week.

The first set of DLC for Duke Nukem Forever launches on 11th October, Gearbox has announced.

The Hail to the Icons Parody Pack, which includes four new multiplayer maps for the maligned shooter, sells for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 or your local equivalent of $9.99 on PlayStation Network and PC.

However, if you're a member of the First Access Club, you get it for free.

In addition to the DLC, there'll be a new update going live on the same day for all platforms that fixes a few bugs.

Get the next Duke game out in a decent amount of time, get the comedy/sleezyness up-to-date and let us all play the game we were hoping for!

#6 Multiplayer was the best part of this game, except lags...

Funny to think that when DNF was first announced, DLC would've been called an expansion pack. That, and people might have actually given a shit back then!

Edit: I get negged for poking fun at Duke Nukem Forever? The most over-hyped, over-rated game ever created?! Wow. Just... wow. O_o

Who purchased it in the first place to get this DLC? Duke nukem 3d was free, then when you got to level 6 ish then you paid for the rest of the gameif you liked it. DNF I played the demo an that was enough. I think Doom was freeware aswell for the start of it.

DNF was a good game and the multiplayer is lots of fun, because it's oldschool, unbalanced (first one to get the big weapons has a huge advantage ... which is fun because it's how we used to play shooters back in the day, not the pseudo-balanced shit they play today) and straight forward - looking forward to the DLC, I get it for free, yay
