Another World iOS dated, detailed
Classic side-scroller out this month.
The iOS update of Eric Chahi's beloved Amiga side-scroller Another World arrives on the App Store on 22nd September.
Developed by DotEmu with input from Chahi himself, it'll be a universal app priced at €3.99/£2.99.
The 1991 original has been updated with new HD visuals, though there is the option to play in its original state too.
The update also offers virtual D-pad controls or a new touch-based set-up, three difficulty settings, remastered sound, Game Centre support with 13 achievements to unlock and five different languages (English, French, Italian, German and Spanish).

What i would like to see is a real adventure game that looks this amazing and off-world.This, Flashback and the Abe games were great side scrollers and also had a real feeling of exotic and alien. I think the GC metriod games did that for me too but not many games have.

I don't remember there being any scrolling actually - you just moved between screens!
And it was awsome, for the time. Not sure if the clunky controls will translate well to the clunkiness of a touchscreen. Could be a disaster...
