Hard Reset release date announced

Price, minimum specs revealed.

PC exclusive shooter Hard Reset launches on 13th September.

It costs £22.99/€27.99/$29.99 from Steam.

The minimum and recommended specifications are below:

  • RAM: 2 GB
  • Graphics card: 512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800GS / ATI Radeon HD 3870 or better

  • DirectX: DirectX 9.0c
  • Hard Drive: 4 GB free hard drive space

Hard Reset is an old school science fiction FPS from new developer Flying Wild Hog.

Flying Wild Hog is a 35-person Polish studio made by former Bulletstorm (People Can Fly) and The Witcher 2 (CD Projekt) veterans.

Hard Reset hopes to take you to a "haunting, dystopian" future where humanity faces extinction. One human city remains, Bezoar, and you as Major Fletcher will need to defend it. Hard Reset will use a proprietary Road Hog game engine.

    It's 10% off if you preorder it on Steam. Already did that myself.

    Are the devs who made Hard Reset really Bulletstorm vets or rather Painkiller vets? They had to have quit a while ago to make a whole game so they probably can't have worked on Bulletstorm to the end.

    I think they are both Painkiller & Bulletstorm (plus some Witcher devs from CD Projekt), but it's true that they probably didn't work on Bullestorm till the end. Hard Reset development took 2 years if I remember well.

    Damn that's a good price. I'm probably not day one but it's definitely on the radar. Now back to this backlog...
