Fallout: New Vegas DLC release date

The Courier's journey ends this September.

Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout: New Vegas, launches on PlayStation Network, Steam and Xbox Live on 20th September, Bethesda has announced.

The publisher has also announced two additional DLC packs, Courier's Stash and Gun Runners' Arsenal, which will be available for download one week later on September 27th.

Courier's Stash (160 MS Points, $1.99 on PSN and Steam) grants immediate access to four content bundles previously available only through pre-ordering Fallout: New Vegas: The Caravan Pack, Classic Pack, Mercenary Pack and Tribal Pack. Each offers unique weapons, apparel and aid advantages.

Gun Runners' Arsenal (320 MS Points, $3.99 on PSN and Steam) increases the range of unique weapons, weapon mods, ammo types and recipes.

Do any of the packs raise the level cap yet?
  • Fawad450 #2 9 months ago

I boycott dlc , pay £40 for a game then £60 on top of that for DLCs, no thanks. If everyone doesnt buy dlcs then developers will release the full game in the first place anyway, rather than releasing half on launch then other half in the form of dlcs.

Everyone of the story-type DLC raised the level cap by 5 afaik.

This game is REALLY looking outdated now.

I've paid less than 10 quid for all the dlc so far in new vegas, but then I got them through the steam sales.

@Fawad450, this is frequently what happens with the ubiquitous "Game Of The Year" Editions.

Same for DA2, waiting on GOTY edition, never buy these type of games new anymore. Not only are they all in 1 box but its often only £20-25

You dont need all the DLC's anyway. Most of them reviewed pretty poorly, the only one I bothered with for this was Old World Blues. Which was fantastic. So thats 800 MS points for the DLC, and then the 19.99 I paid for the game initially just by waiting a couple of months for the price to drop. About £25 aint too bad for a game that's given me over 150 hours of entertainment over two characters.

Obsidian isn't bioware - those NV DLC have all been worth the asking price IMO. You might not like Dead Money's trial n'error gameplay, or honest hearts dull storyline, but they all have been interesting, challenging experiences so far, and you can easily get 10+ hours out of each of them if you play on hardcore.

Dear EG any chance you can actually make you 'Ignore poster' link work !!!
  • DSR3 #11 9 months ago

I wonder if they will do an 'Ultimate' Edition with all the DLC included?

The difference being that these DLCs were developed AFTER the initial game was completed, and act as seperate complements to the experience, not vital missing chunks of the game. I object strongly to DLC developed alongside the game with the sole purpose of selling it on top of the game (especially when it comes with the initial download/disc, but stays locked, that's unforgiveable). But when a developer chooses to continue development after launch, there's no reason not to support it.

My main problem with DLC culture is that it encourages batches of smaller content packs for RPGs, which are far more suited to huge, sprawling expansions a year or so down the line. They're becoming such a rarity because it's easier than ever just to make a bunch of less substancial add ons.

That said, I can't wait for this. OWB was amazing so I'm hoping the quality's been kept consistent.

Would have been good to come out in August but this is hitting at a heavy gaming release date time. And I won't have time to fit it in then.

    Pardon my rant.

The journey of my Courier ended a couple of days ago due to a - how very unsurprising - bug! All of a sudden for no apparent reason I can not raise my funds. The amount I am stuck with is just under 10k. Both my favourite weapons are broken (Gobi and LAER+) and so is my stealth armor. I need close to 25k in funds to pay for repairs, I am stuck at 10k.

Spend 90 euro so far on this (60 euro base game + 30 euro DLC) and I have to quit playing it, because of game crippling bugs. Stellar work to all involved, you actually made a game that runs worse than the disastrous Fallout 3 on PS3.

I struggle to get enthusiastic about DLC. I'm sure some of it's very good, but the main game was more than enough for me. I certainly wouldn't hold off buying the initial release for the sake of some hit and miss add-ons.

    @Kanselier

Why not get the Jury Rigging perk and fix it with any 2 handed weapon

    OR

    Repair using other sniper rifles

    ??

I've been waiting for the GotY edition on this one. Hopefully, it will not be too far behind this final DLC.

This game would have been a whole lot better if the game breaking bugs were fixed - I'm looking at you Hoover dam.
