Star Wars Kinect delayed
To ensure its "full potential is realised".
Star Wars Kinect won't make its planned holiday 2011 release window, Microsoft has announced.
The platform holder told OXM that the game needs a little more development time before it's ready to face the public.
"Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realised," explained a spokesperson.
"This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date."
Eurogamer's Christian Donlan jumped into the Terminal Reality-developed effort last month.
"I'd heard horror stories about the game's inability to interpret basic movements, incidentally, but my demo, at least, held up very well," read his Star Wars Kinect preview.

BTW Terminal Reality is developing this? Great, they made (I think it was their debut game) Terminal Velocity, one of my favorite games of all time.

Microsoft really have nothing appealing to me this Christmas with the exception of Halo. I appreciate Gears has its fans but Im not one of them. Thankfully plenty on my PS3 which traditionally has seen less action than my 360.
Next year's E3 and the new xbox console can't come soon enough.

How to do this game right, would be to make it more like The Force Unleashed, with its character and animation.
Besides, with that Rise fps ation game also coming to Kinect, that looks to have much better animation and thought out combat.
