    It's funny, Gearbox got loads of flak for Duke Nukem Forever, yet I really enjoyed it for what it was. A mindless, 90's FPS remake.

    What they really got right, though was the organic look and presentation of the alien levels. They nailed it, in fact. They created an AVP-esque experience that far outshone Rebellions recent effort. If they can put that design model into this, it will be utterly fantastic. Duke Vision was the best not-Predator-vision-vision that I've ever seen in a game*.

    *Played on a high spec gaming PC so console owners, quit your whining about shitty graphics and frame-rate problems :)

    @George-Roper:

    Gearbox had nothing to do with those levels, or any of the levels in Duke Nukem Forever for that matter, they just stitched together what 3D Realms had already started.

    So don't bank on it.

    As long as you get to drive the loader then everything is well :)

    whoever up the comments list said why is there even a loader...Why WOULDN'T you have a loader?? It's Aliens, man!!!

    First reaction to a proper look a the screenshots is that there is waaaay too much lighting...These things need to descend from darkness! Remember, they mostly come at night. Mostly.

    The concern I have with this is that it seems to be going down the route of almost directly copying all the major touchstones from the film (as often happens with movie tie-ins) but with new characters. So it's clear you're playing an inferior imitation without getting 100% of the feel of the film.

    Simple rule: Make it fit into the existing universe, while at the same time being original.

    Is it really that hard to follow? And even if it is, doesn't Aliens deserve the effort? Come on Gearbox, knock it out the park.
