Kinectimals, Toy Soldiers for WP7
Microsoft details its smartphone slate.
A mobile version of Xbox 360 pet sim Kinectimals headlines Microsoft's impending slate of Windows Phone 7 releases.
Microsoft's Gamescom announcement didn't offer any gameplay details but promised the title will be out in the Autumn.
Also coming to its smartphone OS is a miniature spin-off of XBLA strategy favourite Toy Soldiers. Subtitled Boot Camp, it packs in its bigger brother's shooting gallery mini-games with cross-platform leaderboards.
On top of that, there's casual RTS Beards & Beaks: Cave Area, god game Bug Village, puzzler TextTwist 2, iOS staple Burn The Rope, Farm Frenzy 2 and something called Chickens Can't Fly.
As well as the games, there are a few system refinements incoming too, including microtransaction support, Avatar Awardables, parental controls and improved multiplayer via Fast Async play.

If however they can make a really good Halo mobile game, I'll be all over it. For now I'll make do with the excellent Waypoint app.

Unless Microsoft introduces operator billing (unlikely around these parts), I may be stuck with free apps.

Edit - @The-Bodybuilder - that's what I was thinking too.

I can understand why MS points being cross platform would have some advantages so I agree with you in that aspect. However, I should have pointed out my main problem with it is my dislike for 'preloading' your Points 1200 at a time etc. I don't want to add £10 onto my points account when I may just want a 200 point DLC or indie game. I want to just pay £1.49 or whatever and save the mass 'currency' exchange which I currently have to.

Edit - Actually, are you able to access the marketplace from the Zune client on your pc (assuming you're not on a Mac, using the Zune connector of course)? I think you can use MSP to buy apps/content through the Zune pc client, if you can access it of course.
@OxWearingSocks - You can get points in smaller bundles: 500 for £4.25, I think. Though this is through the 360 dash, and you may not want to upload your CC details. This obviously doesn't solve your issue, but it may be helpful for you to buy smaller chunks of points.
