Rage Collector's Pack a Game exclusive

Comics! Making of! Anarchy Edition!

The Rage Collector's Pack is exclusive to Game and Gamestation in the UK.

Inside the Collector's Pack are two Rage comics by Dark Horse that cover events prior to the game.

There's a 'Making of' DVD, too, as well as the digital contents of the Anarchy Edition of Rage.

The Anarchy Edition gives Double Barrel Shotgun and Fists of Rage weapons, as well as Crimson Elite Armour and a Rat Rod Buggy.

Game doesn't yet mention if the Collector's Pack costs extra.

Tom Bramwell popped over to QuakeCon 2011 recently to play and preview Rage for Eurogamer. He also pinned down creative director Tim Willits for a Rage interview.

Sounds like a rather uninspiring collectors pack. Two comics and a DVD? Hold me back.

    @syra
Going by this recent trend in shitty collectors editions that cost a fortune it will be probably something like 100bucks if not more lol.
  • bikmate #4 10 months ago

That should say a "making of blu-ray" in 2011. or "making of DVD AND Blu-ray"

The comic's better have a free wham bar or a pack of refreshers attached.

The double-barrelled shotgun is an Id classic! Shame it's a pre-order exclusive :(
  • bodypopper #7 10 months ago

And the daily RAGE hype continues. Game looks pretty good and I'm an iD fan but it's out in two months.
The impression I get is that 'when it's done' has cost the publisher so much dosh it has to be a smash. It's not uncommon these days. Still, at least it's not Duke Nukem Forever.

Costs exactly the same as every other edition at the moment.

Not sure if that'll change later, though.

god I really do hate these 'retail exclusives' just sell us the game FFS! but i guess this is only way game know how to compete with the Tesco's and Amazons of this world...

I think Notch's tweet sumed it up best..
'When I make a movie, it will have different exclusive scenes added to it depending on what cinema you go to.'
  • ryanbreck #10 10 months ago

It does cost the same as the standard, and just in case anyone was unaware, from my confirmation email:

"The price quoted for a preorder title is the anticipated retail selling price at the time of release. Should the price be reduced you will be charged the lower price at the time of your order being dispatched. Should the price increase - you will not pay any more! Money is taken just prior to release."
  • barnett666 #11 10 months ago

@Dredd97, so you hate someone selling you a superior version of a product at the same price as everyone else who's selling the normal version? Good logic there kid!

done exactly what ryanbreck has done. Had it pre-ordered with Amazon, but when this edition came out for the same price for the PC it was a no brainer. Same price + more content (content that includes Sir Cramack (if he was English he would have been knighted by now)) so why would anyone who's already pre-ordered not go for this deal. Hoping for this to be one of the best 30 quid I ever spend!

This sounds like a great collectors pack and it's the same price.

I absolutely hate collector's packs that are the size of a BBC Micro monitor and filled up with totally pointless crap, like a cheap, massive Gears of War figure made in China.

id always make good collectors editions. Remember the Doom 3 collectors edition for xbox? It was just a metal engraved case with a bonus disc inside with Doom1 and 2. It looks great, it actually has content, and it doesn't take up any extra space in a games cabinet.
  • mickey2002 #13 10 months ago

@12 The Gears 3 Epic Edition statue is made from resin not crap PVC like in other collector editions that come with some statue.

Anyways thou it's same price atm so guess best place to buy atm, I'd like to pay abit more and have a better edition :)

I have noticed one thing missing from Rage pre-order page on Steam is Steam Play.

i.e. if you buy the PC version you do not get the Mac version for free, or vice versa.
  • captainCandy #15 10 months ago

Whatever, I'll buy once again the normal version from a discount basket next year...
  • FortysixterUK #16 9 months ago

Game appears to say the Collectors pack is the same price as the standard pack:-
£39.99 for console versions and £29.99 for PC version.
  • XBoxDragon #17 9 months ago

Mac version is in unconfirmed status, if they ever release it, it might turn to a steam game, depends how they sort the porting if it happens.
  • Obli #18 9 months ago

Don't care for the extra stuff APART from the double-barrel shotgun! As stated above, it's an id classic!
  • StooMonster #19 9 months ago

@XboxDragon: Weren't the first demos of Rage running on Macs?
