Deathspank dev making Hitchhiker's app

Guide to Galaxy for iOS this autumn.

An interactive version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy will be available for iOS platforms, developer Hothead Games has revealed.

Hothead, creator of downloadable adventure series Deathspank, is creating the app for launch on iPhone and iPad this autumn.

The experience is aimed at fans of Douglas Adams' comedic sci-fi fiction, in which the Hitchiker's Guide includes information on many of the series' important objects, locations and species.

The app copies Adam's irreverent writing style and features entries for towels, vogons, Milliways and the Babel Fish, along with useful additions on how to survive in space and the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.

Canadian outfit Hothead is currently working on The Baconing, a threequel to successful downloadable adventure series DeathSpank.
