Batman pre-order skins will release as DLC
Available to all "down the track".
Rocksteady has confirmed to Eurogamer that the full range of Batman: Arkham City skins being divvied up between retailers as pre-order bonuses will become available to all later on as DLC.
"The offer that we're making out with retailers for gamers is, this is an early access opportunity for you," Rocksteady's marketing manager Dax Ginn told us in London yesterday. "Absolutely down the track [the skins] will be available more broadly."
Six Batman skins were detailed earlier this week, with the Caped Crusader available in a variety of flavours, from 1970s to The Dark Knight Returns. There's no word yet on what they'll cost or when they might appear as DLC.
Ginn also revealed that Rocksteady was planning another big announcement for the title at Gamescom later this month. Eurogamer will be there when they do.

The only time ive done it is in God Of War 1 as the cow, but that was more to do with the fact that the cow suit gave unlimited magic.

I have my reasons to suspect this

The more they spread it over mulitple retailers the less important it becomes, half the time I can't even be bothered to type in the code to unlock whatever pointless geegaw it's come with.
I'm obviously becoming old and bitter!

I used the Jim Lee blue and yellow Wolverine costume to replay the fight against the sentinel, recreating one of my favourite 90's Xmen cartoon episodes.

What is annoying is that a lot of the time the window between retailer early access and full release to the public can get stupidly long, to the point where I've already completed the game and have lost interest.
Fingers crossed Arkham City has the great longevity and appeal of the first game, so the wait won't feel so long.

The shit one, the fat one, the fetish one, the blue one, the stylistically unsuited to this game one, and the one with the big ears.

It's called replay value, we all used to replay our games to unlock stuff back before the internet killed our hobby and took fun and packaged it as DLC.

My guess is 1200 points for the lot or 240 points each.
...or when they might appear as DLC.
Either day one or six months after I've traded the game in(!)
God I love dlc!

Not just to do it in a new skin, but if I'm replaying a game it can make a nice change. Sometimes I would go out of my way to do so, such as in Resident Evil 2.
This, of course, was back before this kind of thing was paid for. I'd never spend money on a skin.I'm still hopeful that Arkham City will be a good game, but making skins like these DLC rather than in game unlockables really does stink of money grubbing. As bad as Oblivion's horse armour.
