Assassin's! Driver! Ghost Recon! Rayman!

This year's Eurogamer Expo will host a huge showing from developer Ubisoft, with some of the year's biggest titles such as Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Driver: San Francisco available to play on the show floor.

    DRM!

Because it needs mentioning until it sinks in. Admittedly, with some people, this could take a very long time.

Wouldn't go anywhere near anything Ubisoft related at the EG Expo.

Ubi will probably want to put you in handcuffs before playing anything anyway. You know, just in case... And this will of course encourage everyone they do it to, to buy their games. It would all be a huge success.

Can everyone going please throw turds at Ubi staff? They infect their PC games with shit so should be covered in it themselves.

Grow up you sad sad children... And stop with this "entitlement" complex you seem to have.

Smelly, when the spammer below you starts to talk more sense than you, then it's time to give your insufferable brownnosing a rest I think.

Can EG arrange a power cut every hour or so, just to simulate the pleasure of playing a Ubisoft game on a dodgy internet connection?

Grow up you sad sad children... And stop with this "entitlement" complex you seem to have.

I don't have any sense of entitlement. No skin off my nose if Ubisoft want to detter me from buying their game. Most defintly their loss and not mine.

But I DO NOT agree with draconian DRM. Especially when it does NOT work. And if I don't complain and and just buy the games nothing is going to change is it?

If you feel the need to reply, I just want to know one thing. Who does the DRM benefit? Piracy continues and the people who legitmatly buy the game have to jump through hoops to play it. Where are the positives there?

Don't legitimise the "debate" by arguing for the other side.

Nobody knows how playing videogames might effect any individuals' propensity to violence. It's not the same for everyone; it's not even the same for the same person on different days.

Nothing Myst-related? I am disappoint face.
  • Morituri #12 10 months ago

DRM is a pain, I'm on holiday and I don't have ADSL so I can't play any game that requires me to be online all the time.
They defeat the pirates but also the buying public like this. I can't see myself buying any Ubi games unless they prove to be 10/10 !

Stop abusing "quotation marks" you lot! Unless you're doing Dr Evil style air-quotes as you type of course, if you're doing that then carry on.

I'm sure Assassassassassins (once you start it's kinda hard to stop typing that) Creed Revelations will be pretty good, but I'm still on 2 and kinda burnt out on it. I haven't even tried Brotherhood yet. I know they're excellent games but I'm just in a rut due to the sameiness of a lot of the missions
