PS Vita Disgaea 3 spotted

There may be a PlayStation Vita version of strategical role-playing game Disgaea 3 in the works.

Yahoo! Japan spilled the beans in a release schedule since removed. But not before some sites could take pictures.

Yahoo! pegged Disgaea 3 as a PS Vita launch title, according to Siliconera.

The Disgaea series has a history of appearing on PS2 and then being adapted for PSP - a relationship that could continue on PS3 and PS Vita.

The PSP instalments, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness and Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days, remain as two of the best games on the system - particularly the former.

Disgaea 3, a PS3 game, appeared in Europe in February 2009. Eurogamer's Disgaea 3 review awarded a handsome 8/10. "Once again," wrote reviewer Simon Parkin, "Nippon Ichi has created a delicious statistical sandbox to play in."

    hope this is true disgaea 3 was one of the most funny games i played on the ps3.

    Good news. Disgaea clearly the best games series ever and works best on handhelds for grinding on the loo.

    Bought Disgaea 3 the first day I started Uni back in 2009, I can't play the game without a wave of memory's just smacking me in the face. I think that means I liked the game, not to sure haha...

    Hey, EG! When are you going to add a distinct listing for PS Vita on the side bar with all the other major platforms? Must be enough articles about it by now to merit that, surely? Unless you have already decided it'll bomb and don't want to waste the web design team's time? ;)

    s3y3: price was already announced ... so you don't have to ask yourself, you should know if you have that $245 handy. Last time I heard though Kidney's can get you quite a lot of cash.
