RSG: don't buy Deadly Premonition on XBL
Pricing issue on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Publisher Rising Star Games has warned Xbox 360 owners not to buy Deadly Premonition from Xbox Live Games on Demand because of an issue with pricing.
The game, which went live yesterday, is currently £19.99 from the Xbox Live Marketplace. It was supposed to cost £14.99.
"There has been some discrepancy with the cost of Deadly Premonition on Xbox Live and this problem is currently being rectified," Rising Star told Eurogamer this afternoon.
"We would advise not to purchase the title at this current time."
Deadly Premonition polarised critics upon its 2010 launch. Eurogamer's Deadly Premonition review discovered a 7/10.

If you have enough patience to put up with the less than stellar driving and action sequences, then the story is well worth seeing out till the end (having said that a friend of mine chucked it in at the first driving "hurdle"

Personally I loved. Despite its hideous flaws, its a great game. Easily worth £20, but bravo to RSG for their honesty

I'd say it's the best she's looked for a number of years.

But your not taking into account how much it costs to get all those little elves to push the game down the wires and into your Xbox. There not cheap to upkeep you know.

Alternatively you could consider that the £ is too cheap, rather than the € is too expensive. Since the exchange rate crashed a couple of years ago, UK GBP product has grey imported out to mainland Europe when for many years it was the other way round.
Any smart publisher will have just put their UK price up to close the gap to the euro, rather than dropping the euro price to match the pound.

Thank fuck, main reason I am buying digital downloads whenever possible - no more worthless tat.

You own nothing?
In that case, you only own a friggen plastic case, a book and a plastic disc. The only other difference is that the data is stored on a DVD/BR rather than a Hard Disk. It's still just data at the end of the day.
Most people buy games, you know, to actually PLAY THE GAME - which surprisingly is still perfectly possible with a digital download.

I'm not saying digital downloads are always bad though, such as when availability of a game is limited or actually cheaper. That's the reason why I bought Earth Defence Force 2017 on XBL, which is not too readily available at retail and is about £10 less on Live than it is on disc.
Hmm, looks like I've managed to talk myself into ordering Deadly Premonition on Amazon right now!
