Portal 2, Dead or Alive crack Japan chart
But hardware sales continue freefall.
Dead or Alive: Dimensions and Portal 2 were among the new entries on this week's Japanese software chart.
According to the latest Media Create figures, published on NeoGAF, PSP action adventure Akiba's Trip came out on top, followed by the excellent Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 3DS at two.
Last week's number one Dragon Quest Monster Joker 2 slipped to three, while the PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 managed sixth place.
The full top 10 looked like this:
- Akiba's Trip (PSP, Acquire): 58,150 / NEW
- Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3DS, Tecmo Koei): 23,078 / NEW
- Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 - Professional (DS, Square Enix): 19,290 / 494,793 (LTD) (-7%)
- Gungnir: Mayari no Gunshin to Eiyuu Sensou (PSP, Atlus Co.): 16,355 / NEW
- Patapon 3 (PSP, SCE): 11,458 / 95,341 (-12%)
- Portal 2 (PS3, Electronic Arts): 8942 / NEW
- Pro Baseball Spirits 2011 (PSP, Konami): 8032 / 160,066 (-21%)
- Wii Party (Wii, Nintendo): 5043 / 1,891,324 (+8%)
- Pokemon Black / White (DS, Nintendo): 4767 / 5,181,982 (+9%)
- Steel Diver (3DS, Nintendo): 4583 / 21,991 (-74%)
It was yet another dismal week on the hardware side, with all formats continuing to decline. The PSP held on to the top spot but sales were down from 34,826 to 30,528.

- PS3: 12,935 (13,789)
- DS: 10,272 (10,858)
