Gotham City Impostors announced
Multiplayer FPS from F.E.A.R. studio.
Gotham City Impostors, a multiplayer downloadable FPS from F.E.A.R. developer Monolith Productions, is in the works for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
According to Kotaku, you won't actually play as Batman but as a customisable "imposter" of one of the characters from either Batman's wider circle of friends or The Joker's motley crew.
Apparently you'll be able to tweak your load-outs, costumes and character stats for play across a series of different game modes and maps.
It'll be online-only, with available weapons including an assault rifle, shotgun, pipebombs, grappling hook and a firework launcher called the Thunder Dragon.
Monolith is yet to decide how many players the game will support but has stated there will be no bots.
No release date has been pinned down yet but we'll update as more information becomes available.

What's wrong with bots? Granted, I haven't played Brink and by all accounts I don't much want to, but bots, at least as an option that can be turned on or off, are surely a good thing?
Sure they're no replacement for real players, but I'd happily have them filling out a half empty lobby.
Also I still love Perfect Dark's bots, with all their customisation and AI behaviours, more like that please.
On topic...this sounds promising, but I suspect it might struggle to find or maintain a large player base with all the blockbuster shooters getting released these days, so it could do with some bots.

Play Brink, trust me after 3 seconds youll want to punch your tv in the dick. You cant turn the bots off and they utterly flood every online game with shit A.I.

Perfect Dark got bots right.
I wish Halo had bots. There, I said it.

Has someone shat in your eyes?
You can stand their shooting them in the face and they hardly react. Shoot them in the back and they never turn around.
They are the shittest bunch of skynet rejects ive seen in a game.
I have nothing against bots, but i have alot against a game that fills every online match with them and never fills it with proper people.
