Zumba Fitness 2 out for Christmas

For Wii and "to be announced platform".

Majesco has announced an encore for chart-topping dance workout Zumba Fitness: Join the Party.

Zumba Fitness 2 launches for Wii this holiday season and on "another-to-be announced platform" early next year.

But wait - is Majesco talking about a new console yet to be revealed? Or simply that a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 port will be announced at a later time?

The original Zumba Fitness began its workout with an initial launch solely on Wii in November last year. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions followed in April.

Zumba is a fitness cult which combines dancing and calorie burning. Tie-in game Zumba Fitness: Join the Party initially failed to impact UK charts last year but has lately seen a surge in popularity.

It claimed first place in the UK top 40 twice last month. This week it returned to the top spot, ousting Portal 2 in the process.

"We've seen an overwhelming demand for the next iteration of the franchise," explained Jesse Sutton, Majesco's CEO and Zumba convert. "I can promise you that Zumba Fitness 2's new and improved features will challenge Zumba enthusiasts and entice new followers to join the party."
