Rayman Origins listed on Amazon

Retro Ubisoft platformer out this year?

Limbless Ubisoft mascot Rayman has had his latest outing listed by online retailer Amazon.

Pre-order pages and box art currently exist for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions of the game. It has a North American release date of 15th November.

Rayman Origins was originally announced at E3 2010 as a downloadable title, although we learned last week it had been expanded into a full retail release.

With the game Ubisoft plans a return to the series' platforming roots. The box art shows Rayman and sidekick stalwart Globox back centre stage.

Levels have been designed for both single and multiplayer in mind, with up to four-way co-op play possible.

Recent entries in the Rayman series have shifted focus to mini-games and Ubisoft's Raving Rabbids characters. The latest Rabbids games have dropped the Rayman moniker altogether.

Ubisoft has told Eurogamer, "We're not commenting on rumors of speculations."
