Ace Combat Assault Horizon release date
Ace Combat 3DS announced.
Ace Combat Assault Horizon launches in Europe on 14th October, Namco Bandai has announced.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game launches on 11th October in the US.
The Limited Edition includes the game's soundtrack and downloadable content.
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon promises single-player and multiplayer elements although there are no more details at the moment.
The last we heard of Ace Combat in console land was the admirable sixth instalment, Fires of Liberation, which could be our wingman anytime etc 8/10.
Meanwhile, Namco Bandai announced Ace Combat for the Nintendo 3DS, developed by Project Aces.
This game was first mentioned last year, and its launch will be the first time the aerial combat sim has appeared on a Nintendo console since Ace Combat Advance on the GBA back in 2005.

I'm looking forward to this - although this is a reboot of the franchise.
One of the things I really liked about about the older AC games was the half-arcade, half-sim style of play - but after reading the articles, interviews and videos of AC:AH, it does feel like its going to be rooted firmly on the arcade side, which is slightly disappointing.
Why do I think this? Well, did anyone else spot the attack helicopter in the promo vid doing a barrel roll? I do hope this works out well though.
