Nintendo dates Ocarina of Time 3DS
Plus, Dragon Quest VI, Dead or Alive, more
The 3DS remake of N64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time launches in Europe on 17th June, Nintendo has announced.
It also revealed dates for a number of other titles across all its platforms. Other 3DS highlights include Puzzle Bobble Universe on 21st April, Steel Diver on 6th May and Dead or Alive: Dimensions on 20th May.
There's a handful of interesting titles on their way to its creaky, last-gen counterpart too, including Plants vs Zombies on 6th May and a remake of Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie on 20th May.
Things are rather thin over on the Wii – your top picks there are SEGA's FPS sequel The Conduit 2 on 22nd April, Virtua Tennis 4 on 29th April and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean on 13th May.
Looking further afield, Nintendo also confirmed that Wii Play: Motion, Xenoblade Chronicles and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword would all be in stores before the end of 2011.

Also for this summer(yet not on this list) RE:Mercenaries, Cave Story 3D and hoping Driver 3D will be good.
Overall,i should be happy this summer with my 3DS, and i hope that come fall we will not hear any more whining about a lack of games on the system.

Drat. I bought it in the states while on holiday in the US a month ago. I too would have liked to support the EU release but they took so bloody long...
IF I HAD BUT KNOWN!

I'm glad we get OoT around the same time as the US - bodes well for the future, despite the region locking. I was hoping Starfox would appear at the same time, but hopefully it won't be too long afterwards.
Also that Pac Man/Galaga game is one to watch - it's apparently coming with Pac Man Championship edition packed in too.

Galaga and Pacman whats that about, £40 too? What a total ripoff.
So far I've made a list of the games I want for 3DS when I get one and thats streetfighter and pilotwings and theres nothing there to add to it. I realise Ocarina of time is a good game but I'm really tired of it now as I've been playing it since the N64 days, then gamecube and then again emulated on Xbox. I don't think a new coat of paint will do it for me.

The older players amongst us have played these games to death
Retro gaming is nostalgic and fun sometimes to play agin, but really big N nead to write some new games....

I was also hoping to see more new games on the 3DS horizon than remakes. I was quite happy to see them revisit Pilotwings after a fifteen year absence, but I have no interest in playing Ocarina of Time again. I suppose outsourcing it should have left Nintendo's internal teams free to work on other things, but who knows? I'm much more interested in playing Steel Diver than another Zelda game as it's not something I've played before.

I wonder what other N64 Nintendo will dig up and convert for the 3DS catalogue.
Wouldn't surprise if super nintendo titles get resurrected too. It would hardly be surprising if Mario Allstars doesn't make an appearance in 3D.
