Mass Effect 2 Arrival DLC date confirmed
Don't fear The Reapers.
As rumoured yesterday, Mass Effect 2's Arrival DLC pack launches on 29th March, publisher EA has confirmed.
The DLC sees Commander Shepard dispatched to the edge of the galaxy to rescue an undercover operative who is thought to have evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion, nicely setting things up for Mass Effect 3, which is due later this year.
Fan favorite Admiral Hackett, voiced by science-fiction legend Lance Henriksen, is said to play a prominent role in the new expansion. You'll have to scrape together 560 MS Points / £5.49 / 560 BioWare Points to find out in what capacity.
"All year, we have been extremely honored and humbled by the reception we have received for Mass Effect 2 from players around the world, including our post release DLC", commented executive producer Casey Hudson.
"Mass Effect: Arrival is an exciting extension to Mass Effect 2 and will show players just how close the Reapers are to returning and completing their deadly harvest."

I know you don't like us very much - the lack of DLC support for Dead Space 2 and NFS: Hot Pursuit were proof of that - but I'll be right royally pissed if I miss out on a chunk of the story in this superb trilogy!!!

I like this trend of announcing things shortly before they hit rather than hyping them 6 months before.

Can't wait for this DLC. And I finally get to meet that bugger that kept sending me on sidequests in ME1
