Thief, System Shock dev joins Valve

Doug Church leading something new?

Doug Church, the man EA entrusted Steven Spielberg project LMNO with, has joined Valve.

Gamasutra learned that Church had been working with the Half-Life creator for two weeks on an unspecified project.

During his long career, Doug Church has worked on some of video gaming's greats. He's credited on the Ultima, System Shock and Thief series during his long spell at Looking Glass Studios. He then went on to help Crystal Dynamics make Tomb Raider: Legend.

After that, Church joined EA. Project LMNO was binned by EA last year. The game was to be a "very ambitious" action adventure for PS3 and Xbox 360.
