EU PlayStation Store update 16th March

Move special offers, demos.

Sony is trying to move PlayStation Move. Get it. That's the theme of today's PlayStation Store update.

Cue a raft of new special offers. Flight Control (7/10) is £2, Swords and Soldiers (8/10) is £4.80 and Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves (7/10) now £2.50.

There's a huge demo for PlayStation Move Heroes to download if you'd like, too. It's 2.6GB. Other demos today are for Crysis 2 multiplayer and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12.

Other tid-bits of note are new characters Jill and Shuma-Gorath for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and a long list of new songs for Rock Band 2, 3 and Def Jam Rapstar. The latter gains "Regulate" by Warren G featuring Nate Dogg - he who passed away yesterday.

    I recently got MAG and after a frustrating initial period where I got my ass kicked game after game I now have got pretty good at it and have become totally addicted so i'm interested in the add on packs for it. Anyone know if they're any good?
  • joelstinton #2 1 year ago

    Thank fudge echochrome 2 wasn't reduced, brought it last night (should have known better to download things from the ps store a day before update)
  • MinerWilly #3 1 year ago

    Great , i will pick up Tumble , Planet Minigolf and Flight Control HD at those reduced prices . Some decent demos too .
  • wizlon #4 1 year ago

    MAG for £12... that's almost reasonable.
  • HiddenAway #5 1 year ago

    The Mortal Kombat demo is missing off that list. It's available to all users tonight (i.e. no longer a Plus exclusive)
  • DavidBoring #6 1 year ago

    good deals, i was contemplating buying high velocity bowling for some time now. and i guess i will get tumble as well

    @hiddenawayexcept for germans
  • Jolly_Armadillo #7 1 year ago

    And mag ps plus discount finally :) yay!!
  • Gromit #8 1 year ago

    @DavidBoring
    I recommend High Velocity Bowling. That's a great price and you can still get games online too.
  • HiddenAway #9 1 year ago

    @DavidBoring

    Indeed, well pointed out. I probably should say Australia as well. Apparently it was banned there :S

    @TheDellBingo

    Thanks for the feedback I'll give them a go.

    I have to say MAG is such an awesome game although I think they made it too hard for newbies. If you stick with it you will get better and better and when you start getting better weapons and perks the game is one of the best tactical shooters out there.

    It's great that there are still lots of people playing it and hopefully Zipper will do an equally good job with Socom 4.

    Where's Beyond Good & Evil HD? Is it just a xbox exclusive? Was hoping to play that today.

    Oh well, maybe next week.

    Anyone play Mag with the Move controller?

    And is it definably more of a bonus than a hinderance?
  • Doctor_What #14 1 year ago

    I hear MAG is very good with the Move once you get used to it, but it does take a few hours of running around looking at the sky accidentally until you get used to it.

    BG&E is a timed exclusive for MS, I think. Give it a few months.
  • WiseGuy #15 1 year ago

    Has anyone tried Top Darts yet? PDC still is hard to get and expensive so this might do. High Velocity Bowling is another I think I will pick up.
  • Mister-Wario #16 1 year ago

    Ramesses: Apparently BG&E is coming to PS3 a little later on. It WAS released on PS2 originally so there's no reason we shouldn't see it soon.

    I want to like Move but I have yet to see a killer title for it. I am sorely tempted by Move Heroes, though.
  • Doctor_What #17 1 year ago

    I heard PDC Darts sold out on the PS3. Maybe they'll do a download version?
  • jefranklin18 #18 1 year ago

    MAG plus Move is great fun. I know a lot of people say it takes time to get used to but I took to it like a duck to water. I am struggling not to get the Sharpshooter though...
  • Gormless #19 1 year ago

    You know what i am sick of Sony lowering the price of PSN products i (and many others) have bought, from now on they go fuck themselves until the price drops, then i'll buy stuff.
  • Graftonator #20 1 year ago

    Yeah I agree!! The PS3 should still cost £425!! I much prefer paying full price for things and totally hate sales!

    :S
  • FuzzyDuck #21 1 year ago

    I nearly bought Tumble after Christmas off the back of the demo, kinda forgot about it.

    Tempted again!
  • FenderMaster #22 1 year ago

    I know it's dealyed, but MvC3.... 5 Euro for ONE character?

    Really? Seriously? Thats a joke, right? They can't be for real?
  • bladdard #23 1 year ago

    @WiseGuy

    Top Darts is a good game and great value for money, there's tons of game modes, replay value and it's a right laugh with friends.
  • bwiancohen #24 1 year ago

    Im loving the PS3 Crysis 2 demo. I was lucky enough to play it on my XBox 360 a while ago but wasnt too impressed. The PS3 version just seems to move so smoothly. I am sold on the PS3 version as a first day purchase.....
  • silversun #25 1 year ago

    Played mag on and off a fair bit over the last years and it is alot of fun, it had some bugs when first came out like being unable to spawn because stuck in area but that has got alot better and does not happen as much now , the game itself has some great bits in it , i think killzone 3 maybe added something similar in way the game gains skills and new weapons.

    Im impressed enough with it to maybe have a look at the new socom game, a game i would probley never even though about before , so will be intresting see how that game is.

    As for psn europe , i still get down that its terrible compared to what is on the us store while xbox live can seem to make games in uk arrive fairly close to other parts of world , heck even wii virtual console does a better job atm of bringing stuff over.
  • cherryuk #26 1 year ago

    It's all about Pix'N Love Rush - baby! love it to death. Only realised you can fire those pesky bats halfway through playing it!
  • 3william56 #27 1 year ago

    @Fuzzy - Tumble's worth a buy. Apart from being the best demo of how scary accurate the Move can be, it's a spiffy party / vs. girlf game in it's own right, once you realise how much fun deliberately putting nasty blocks in teetering positions to b*gger up the next person can be - drinking Jenga in reverse.

    Single player is meh though.

    GAH! Stupid download limits. Want to try Move Heroes, but as I've already shot half my download limit for the month setting up a new PS3, not sure I can risk 2.6Gb putting me on the GoSlo later in the month. Seems a pretty excessive size for a demo. Get on a diet, fatty!
