Devil's Third: Itagaki gets more help

Tokyo dev Score Studios joins team.

Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki and his company Valhalla have enlisted the help of little-known Japanese developer Score Studios to help with development of his mysterious new game Devil's Third.

"We are bringing our extensive experience and development sensibilities to the mix, working alongside Valhalla's already excellent team to bring Mr. Itagaki's latest designs to fruition," said Score Studios co-founder and CTO Paul Caristino.

Score Studios is the latest developer to offer the ex-Team Ninja boss assistance on development of Devil's Third. In January it emerged that Dawn of War developer Relic Entertainment had helped out with the technology behind the multiplatform action game.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title Devil's Third is described as a "fast-paced action game set in the near future in the wake of a global catastrophe", but other details are thin on the ground.

But we do know Itagaki would like Devil's Third to have stereoscopic 3D options on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Devil's Third is down for a 2012 release, some time after Darksiders 2 hits the shops. As of June last year, the game was said to be about 10 per cent finished.
