I always wonder how screenshots widely accessible everywhere (from fan sites to press hubs like Gamespress) get watermarked as if they're exclusive. No jab against EG (they're not the only ones to do so, after all), just curious.

The fourth shot should be enough to tell you that if these are meant to be in game - they've been touched up in photoshop.

Diogo, its not claiming the images are exclusive, its probably to reduce hotlinking and increase site brand awareness. Publicity!

This game is all I want still playing battlefield 2 up to this day and I'm still not bored.

randompanda: of course, it's not that they're claiming the pics are exclusive. But watermarks should only be used in that circumstance. I suspect that, yes, there are loads of amateur/hobbyist sites which don't have access to the pictures themselves and would leech off EG. This is a fair countermeasure to that. But nowadays, if one follows the main communication channels and social networks, there's hardly a need for that. In this case it's particularly weird, as it's a watermark on top of another one.

I don't think I've ever seen a game were the equipment is pixel perfect on the character model, grip and all. Not even close to the real game.

These will be captures from a pre rendered trailer that will be shown around the time of the GDC conference next month

GameInformer have been shown BF3 being played and apparently it does look like that.

Video and pictures look amazing. However it's not going to look like that on my 360.

They are what are known as Bull'shots industry, heavily modified screenshots to make the game look better in publicity. Although im quite hyped for BF3 (loved both BF and BF2 .. not so much bfbc2 though), I suspect it wont look as good as those screenshots on a average machine.
