L.A. Noire UK release date confirmed
"Breaks new ground" says Houser.
Rockstar Games' L.A. Noire will launch in the UK on 20th May.
A leaked trailer had this weekend already revealed a 17th May US release date. It is expected to officially go live at 5pm UK time this evening.
"L.A. Noire breaks new ground for us," said Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser. "Its intense blend of action and real detective work defies genre conventions to create a unique and captivating thriller."
L.A. Noire, announced years ago in 2005, is a 1940s crime thriller based around you rising through the ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The press release describes development of the game as a "special partnership" between Rockstar Games and Team Bondi. It also mentions the new MotionScan performance-scanning technology it utilises.
"MotionScan utilizes 32 high-definition cameras to capture actors' faces in 3D, transferring every aspect of their performance into the game, enabling players for the first time to lip-read in-game characters and to read every facial expression down to the finest detail."

Well, like I said in the comments of that hastily pulled article, I want to know how the developers have been treated before even thinking about buying this game.

drive over there, shoot some gangsters, question survivors, rinse repeat.
I'm actually looking forward to it personally, look at their faces!

Because their games nearly always handle like shit.
This looks great, roll on May.

The facial expressions that indicate lies are fabricated by actors anyway. Does this mean you will be looking for the cliche "tells" like in a game of poker. Scratching head, looking at the ground etc.
Is there more to this game worth talking about?
It's just being hyped up surely?
