Persona 3 Portable confirmed for Europe

Due out this year.

PSP Japanese role-playing game Persona 3 Portable will release in Europe this year.

The Atlus-created title will be published by Ghostlight, which confirmed on its website that there will be a boxed version including "some Collector's Edition type goodies".

"And - for the environmentally conscious among you - we'll also be releasing a PSN download version."

P3P, as it's abbreviated, has been out in Japan and the US for ages. Luckily for importers it's region free. Chris Schilling awarded it an impressive 9/10 in Eurogamer's review. " Until Persona 4 Portable arrives, then, this may well be the finest RPG you can get on PSP, and a game that'll keep completists going until well into the winter months," he wrote.

The first one was based on the PS1 original so it's a bit set in it's ways. Persona 3 Portable is basically perfect and has all the social stuff as well as the incredible battle system.

I bought the game when it was released in US. I recommend it to anyone who played original P3 on ps2; even tho I beat the the ps2 version many times I still enjoy playing it on psp and we cant forget about the female protagonist side of the story which makes it even more interesting :)

Since I imagine any Persona fan who had any active interest in playing this game would have done so by now, this seems largely pointless. Still, if you haven't played it yet then it'll be well worth it even if you've already played the PS2 versions.

GAME has had this listed for ages with the publisher as Ghostlight.

Hopefully they'll pick up the PS3 version of Catherine at least. They can't do the XBox360 version as they haven't been granted a license to publish games on the 360 by Microsoft according to there emails.

Yey! Truly enjoyed Persona 4 and bought the third one after that, but never came to playing it due to many other releases and a broken PS3 60 GB. But I'll play the hell out of it on PSP, that's for sure

Completed Pesona 3 FES in August last year, easily the best game I played last year (although obviously it came out a while ago)

Will certainly be getting this and starting again.

Special Edition, you say? Oh, Ghostlight, how can I resist?

Glad I held off on buying the US version now.

I'm glad someone picked it up, but this is ridiculous.

How long will we have to wait to have Catherine published here? Persona 5? It's about time Atlus opened a EU branch.

Either way, buy this game. Best PSP RPG ever, in my opinion.
