Kojima/Suda collaboration still alive
Mystery game is "about 1%" complete.
Earlier this year, some rather tantalising news seeped out that Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima was teaming up with No More Heroes lunatic Suda51 for a mysterious adventure title.
The good news: the project is still a going concern. The bad news: nobody seems in much of a hurry to get it made.
In an interview with Japanese gaming bible Famitsu, reported by Andriasang, the other developer involved, 5pb CEO Chiyomaru Shikura, revealed that the game was only "about one per cent" complete.
The project was first discussed back in July, when Shikura revealed that the trio were working on the third entry in "a conceptual science series".
"Kojima told me that he wanted to make an adventure game," he explained. "We're at the still stage where we need to go to a secluded spot in the mountains and hash this project out, and thus, we don't have any of the minute details hammered out."
A quick bit of maths suggests that, at the current rate of progress, we'll get our hands on the finished game some time in 2052. Time to start the hype train, no?
Still, both Kojima and Suda are very busy men, so we're prepared to cut them a little slack. The former has Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS in the works. Suda, on the other hand, has shoot 'em up Sine Mora, EA survival horror Shadows of the Damned and Kinect spookfest Codename D on his slate.

@others: Kojima has already stated this won't be a Snatchers or Policenauts sequel. It is completely new.
