1.3 billion Halo: Reach games logged

Plus, Bungie staff lose 23,000 matches.

A staggering 1.3 billion games of Halo: Reach have been played since launch, according to a new set of stats from developer Bungie.

In a festive display of humility, the developer has gone and treated us to a range of facts and figures attesting to what an enormously successful few months its Xbox 360 FPS has had.

According to an image splashed across its official site, and reproduced below, Halo: Reach has made the following notches on its proverbial bedpost:

  • Over 1.3 billion games played
  • 24,000 years of gameplay logged
  • 900 trillion credits earned
  • 33 billion kills in fire fight, multiplayer and campaign

The developer also fessed up that its employees had lost 23,000 matchmade games since launch.

Perhaps we shouldn't be too surprised by these silly numbers though - Bungie's fabulous final foray into the Halo universe netted a whopping $200 million in day one sales alone back in September.
