NFS World gets dynamic day/night cycle
Has three million registered users.
EA has today added a dynamic day/night cycle and advanced vehicle performance customisation tuning system to Need for Speed World.
Tuning is done with an "extensive" list of car parts, including tuned engines and top-tier suspension systems.
Meanwhile, EA has announced that three million gamers have registered to play Black Box's creation, making it one of the world's most popular free-to-play racing games.
The game's success is no doubt in part the result of EA's September decision to make Need for Speed World free-to-play.
Specifically, the free client that allowed career progression up to level 10 but no further was unlocked, enabling gamers to play for as long as they like.
However, there are still micro-transaction items like double XP bonuses and power-ups available to buy.

"Should have been on console. That is all."
The closed nature of consoles doesn't allow for F2P games with microtransactions, or the frequent patching that is required.
