Microsoft announces Christmas XBL sale

Plus, Red Dead hits Games on Demand.

Super Meat Boy, Comic Jumper and Castle Crashers are among the titles seeing price cuts in a festive Xbox Live sale starting next week.

The promotion will run from 21st December until 31st December and include the following deals:

  • Super Meat Boy Discounted, Price: 800 Savings: 33 per cent
  • Comic Jumper, Discounted Price: 800 Savings: 33 per cent
  • Toy Soldiers, Discounted Price: 800 Savings: 33 per cent
  • Banjo Tooie, Discounted Price: 600 Savings: 50 per cent
  • Castle Crashers, Discounted Price: 600 Savings: 50 per cent
  • The UnderGarden, Discounted Price: 400 Savings: 50 per cent
  • Risk Factions, Discounted Price: 400 Savings: 50 per cent
  • Afterburner Climax, Discounted Price: 400 Savings: 50 per cent
  • Borderland's Claptrap New Revolution, Discounted Price: 400 Savings: 50 per cent
  • Carcassonne Discounted, Price: 400 Savings: 50 per cent

On top of all that, there will be a different "surprise" offer every day, details of which will be published on Major Nelson's blog.

Microsoft has also detailed the rest of its Xbox Live slate for December. Highlights include Games on Demand releases for Red Dead Redemption and Just Cause 2, and new DLC for Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
