I think I speak for everyone when I say:

    FINALLY!

I haven't had many major problems after just over 70 hours of play. What's the chances of downloading this and things start to go sour.

I find it amusing that you guys apparently still try to justify whenever you can, every single f**king time, the 9/10 score you gave to the most broken high-profile game of the year.

So what part of 'brilliant but glitch-heavy' sounds inaccurate to you?

FINALLY I can revert to a save before the DLC bug hit me!

I can confirm the PS3 patch doesn't fix the game. It's still crashing on me every 10 minutes, so don't get your hopes up.

Mine locked me out of the strip a week ago, breaking all the main quests. Fingers crossed it'll let me in again now.

    @Sunyavadin

I was able to fix this by wearing an Old Cowboy Hat everytime I went into the strip. Don't know if the new patch fixes the problem outright.

Hooray I've waited 6 weeks for this!

I still can't sort out the issues with my existing saves, so I've actually started again.

Basically I could complete the game from where I saved, but I'd miss a couple of quests (I successfully recruited everyone for talent pool but for some reason I still have a business card and can't finish the quest and get the achievement).

The com;panions with you show as waypoints on the local map, but thats next to useless for me. If they're that close I know where they are. I still have a lost person I can't get back after sending to Lucky 38, and the Vault 22 trick doesn't work. I disarmed the monorail bomb and that still blew up when I left and has stayed blown up.

I believe the last stage of the BoS thread is still glitched and won't trigger on my existing save.

Still, here's hoping my neew game won't be crippled by any of this...

Same issues for me, it crashes constantly.

As i said in the COD BLOPS article the other day, they shouldnt be allowed to ship games in this state, its unacceptable.

I'm not buying this game at least until they release a goty version next year with all fixes and dlc.
  • ruslan74 #14 1 year ago

Now I wonder what bug ridden rushed games will be nominated for GOTY awards next year and if they will still get 9/10 spunky reviews from trusted game sites.

If this isn't further proof that the current model for game releases is flawed then i don't know what is:
    1) wait 2 months and it might actually work properly & you get some DLC
    2) get the game for less than half the RRP.

Buy it on the day it came out and you're close to RRP for an unfinished game. Come on publishers - please learn.

Last one I buy on release. wait and get cheaper and patched.

60+ hours and I've only encountered one glitch that stopped me completing Medical Mystery. The scope, wit and sheer enjoyment I have enjoyed from this most open world of adventures has eclipsed any other game I've played this year. 10/10 for me regardless of bugs.
