Ghost Trick prepares to haunt iPhone

Ace Attorney man's latest goes mobile.

Forthcoming DS puzzle adventure Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is being ported to the iPhone, publisher Capcom has announced.

According to Joystiq, the first two chapters of the latest game from Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi will be available on the Japanese App Store tomorrow for free. If you want to play the rest you'll have to shell out for three additional chunks at ¥600 (around £4.50) each, or ¥1500 (around £11.40) for the lot.

Capcom hasn't confirmed if an English version will follow, but it's not unreasonable to expect one to follow the UK launch of the DS game on 14th January.

Unlike some of Capcom's recent iOS ports, Ghost Trick seems like a perfect fit for the iPhone. As the trailer below demonstrates, it sees you maneuvering the titular ghoul around crime scenes by touching objects to 'possess' them.

Takumi's classic DS mystery Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney also saw an App Store release earlier this year, winning a 9/10 from Eurogamer's Kristan Reed.
