Forza 3 goes Back to the Eighties
Gets DeLorean and Ferris Bueller's Ferrari.
Cars made famous by cult movies Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Back to the Future are included in a Forza 3 downloadable pack due out next week.
The Community Choice Classics Car Pack includes 10 iconic cars decided by a vote from Forza fans and Jalopnik readers.
The list of cars in full:
- 1971 AMC Javelin-AMX
- 1973 BMW Motorsport 2002 Turbo
- 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454
- 1971 De Tomaso Pantera
- 1982 DeLorean DMC-12
- 1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth
- 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II
- 1978 Saab 99 Turbo
- 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution
- 1957 Ferrari 250 California
That Ferrari 250 California was in cult teen movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The DeLorean DMC-12 needs no introduction.
The pack will launch on 14 December for 400 Microsoft Points.
Meanwhile, from 20th to 26th December, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will get exclusive Deal of the Week pricing on select Forza 3 car packs, which will all be discounted by 50 per cent.
Xbox 360 simulation racer Forza 3 launched last year. Oli awarded it 9/10 in Eurogamer's review.

Maybe if they added the bumper with the red light going side to side and with the similar effect of it would be great.
Looking forward to trying out the Delorean, see if it actually goes past 88mph. Also see how fast it goes if they allowed an engine swap.

You'd be lucky to get it to 88mph in the first place, was an achievement in PGR4.

Although oddly enough this pack took an incredibly long time to show up (by T10 standards anyhow), I guess opening up voting to the masses is fine until you then have to go and source the cars to scan and record...it's not as though most of these are particularly common in standard form any more.
