Plus: Minkley's Meat Ceiling spotted.

All downloadable PopCap games are half-price from the PopCap website until Monday, 29th November.

This excludes any bundle deals or game packs.

PopCap, a renowned puzzle maker, is responsible for Plants vs. Zombies (9/10 - Eurogamer), Zuma's Revenge (8/10 - Eurogamer), Peggle Deluxe (9/10 - Eurogamer) and Bejeweled 3 (out on 7th December) - to name a few.

The most exciting PopCap news today, however, is that top secret new game Johnny Minkley's Meat Ceiling has been spotted. An anonymous PopCap insider sent Eurogamer this image from the company's Seattle studio.

PopCap co-founder John Vechey bet Eurogamer TV presenter Johnny Minkley that he couldn't eat an enormous piece of meat in a restaurant. His end of the bargain? To make a game starring Johnny Minkley and meat if he lost.

And he did.

Got it now - it was blank the first time for me too.

I'm glad that was a picture of a plate of meat, and not... somthing else.

EDIT: BTW Bertie, is there an ETA for the EA Active Sports 2 review? And will you guys be grading the three platforms individually? Ta!

God I love the winter sales on PC. Only started on them last year myself and got the shock of my gaming life.

I envy the gamers just new to PC, you lot will think you've died and gone to heaven over the next 6 weeks

There's no ETA on the EA Sports Active 2.0 review just yet I'm afraid. Given that, I'm not sure whether we'll assess one or all platforms. The latter does make sense.

It was AOE III, and when I bought it, MS charged me 39.99 instead of the 0.10 they had on their website. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me... At least their support was noticeably embarrassed, which is always a plus!

Cheers for the update Bertie. I'm very keen to know how that one turns out. EG take their casual-ish games reviews seriously, which means I pay more attention to your reviews of this kind of thing. I understand it takes a bit longer to assess this kind of game. Individual scores per-system would be much appreciated if possible!
