Call of Duty takes top two XBL spots

Black Ops dethrones Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were the two most active titles on Xbox Live last week.

According to Microsoft's Major Nelson, Black Ops took over the top spot from Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 in its first week on release. Call of Duty: World at War wasn't too far behind either, coming in at seven.

Kinect Adventures was the only Kinect title to make it into the top 20, landing at 16. Here's the full list:

Ubisoft's retro rump-kicker Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was the most downloaded Xbox Live Arcade title, followed by Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Decade Duels and Cave's excellent shmup Guwange. The full top 20 looked like this:

    I am shocked that enough people still have an interest in YuGiOh (well, I'm shocked anyone EVER did) for it to be the second most downloaded game.

    Played this on the 360 last weekend and I honestly got bored after 10 minutes. COD died for me after MW.

    Black ops is fun, more fun than MW2. I stopped playing reach after I got to major dunno why, it lacks that spark that Halo 3 had.

    has any1 ever had any issues with their xbox not bein able to read disks? is there anything i can do or is it goosed?

    On the rare occasion my, 360 reads game discs as DVD's but if your problem is persistent then your 360 has probably hit the hay. Ring MS and see if you can still get a free repair. Tell them its a RROD. They don't even check if your console is red ringed and give you a brand new DVD drive anyway :D

    it just doesn't even recocgnise that there is a disk in the drive when you put it in. probably goosed then.

    @Arwin, CreepinJesus and all the other superior beings who don't play CoD.

    I play Black Ops.

    I also recently played Enslaved, Castlevania, Bayonetta and Vanquish. Limbo, Metro2033, Darksiders, Mirror's Edge, BRAID and DMC4 have been purchased and played in the past. Are these games that you perhaps would consider "eclectic"? Am I a sheep, or is there categories? I like playing Black Ops. It's fun. Arcadey as hell. But fun. That's just my opinion of course.

    We all get it that a lot of people don't like Call Of Duty. We get it. Really, We do. Just move along now, please.

    I personally am bored of CoD, but god forbid people who play the games on those lists might actually like them.

    Can't stand the up-yourself elitist attitude some people come out with. Just because a lot of people happen to like something doesn't mean they are "sheep"

    @phil - Is it saying "open tray"? if it's out of warranty you could google "xbox 360 rubber band fix" and try that. Worked for me.

    Is it me or is that list utterly depressing? Not the fact COD is top, I have it myself, but the lack of variation in the titles in the top 20. I mean how many FPS's do we need?

    Wow. Reach isn't doing so well. Back when Halo 3 came out it was on top for years. Sure, the CoD Games are more popular, but you'd think that it could at least beat Modern Warfare 2.

    Thats a fair point, I think that the original Modern Warfare was the last CoD that I (My Opinion) actually found fun to play online, the new ones are just awful IMO.

    Is this a list of most played games on Live enabled xbox?
    Wasnt sure if it was that, or a list most played multiplayer games.
