Design your own S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 quest

Dev looking for mission ideas.

The studio behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 has called on fans to submit quest ideas for the forthcoming FPS sequel.

Developer GSC Game World launched the contest on its Facebook page, asking entrants to email their concepts to contest@gsc-game.com.

The best ideas will be weeded out and then put before a judging panel consisting of the game's project lead, PR director and lead game designer. The winning idea "may be implemented in the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game."

"This said," the Facebook post continued, "the developers retain the right to change the quest looks or implementation, while preserving the key author's idea"

At the very least, those selected will see their names in the game's credits.

"Each participant may send up to five contest scenarios. The scenarios should be well-thought logically and implementable. Take quests from the released games as examples," GSC went on to explain.

As much as we applaud such community spirit, GSC did a fine job on its own last time out. Eurogamer's Dan Pearson awarded the bleak, brutal S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat a very respectable 8/10 earlier this year.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is due for release on PC some time in 2012.
