Specific UK F.E.A.R. 3 date nailed

Far off at this Point Man.

The third F.E.A.R. game will jump out on UK shop shelves on Friday, 25th March 2011, Eurogamer can confirm.

Warner Bros. said earlier today that F.E.A.R. 3 will ship worldwide on Tuesday, 22nd March 2011.

Once upon a time, "winter 2010" was the plan. But in August this year F.E.A.R. 3 was shoved, without explanation, to "TBC 2011".

F.E.A.R. 3 adds co-op to the spooky shooter series. Remember that little girl Alma from the first game? You'll play F.E.A.R. 3 as her two sons: Point Man and Paxton Fettel. One concentrates on guns and time-slowing, the other on telekinetic weaponry.

Eurogamer quizzed F.E.A.R. 3 senior producer Dan Hay earlier this year about his new game.

F.E.A.R. 3 will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Oh, it's got robots in it.

Maybe it's been delayed so they can think of a name for the guy apart from fucking 'Point Man'... How can anyone feasibly want to keep running with that name?

Anyone who ever slagged off FEAR 2 needs to take a serious look at this game in action, retract their hate for the awesome sequel and go buy it right fucking now.

God damn you Monolith. I hope to god you are working on NOLF 3 right now.

I played through the first fear for the first time only about a month ago and really enjoyed it so I grabbed the second one and went through that straight after finishin the first. It got a pretty grim review the second one but I thought it were pretty good. I'll be lookin out for this one.

Hang on... Has FEAR turned into a mech game?
  • kupocake #7 2 years ago

Right... they seriously think anyone cares enough about this series to put it in Q1 with the rest of the big names? It'll be eaten alive.

Fear 1: Awesome, Fear 2: Awesome, so I'm sure this is going to be brilliant, too. Just wait for more trailers before bringing the hate.

The scariest thing about F.E.A.R was the number of bin bags strewn across the levels. More of a health scare than anything.
    This looks like F.E.A.R 2.5.
The trouble with the series is that machine guns and scares just don't mix well enough to justify the title especially when you add mechs. It's a bit of a Frankenstein's monster.

quote haloboy-'Anyone who ever slagged off FEAR 2 needs to take a serious look at this game in action, retract their hate for the awesome sequel and go buy it right fucking now'
But it's not out yet and it looks to have no atmosphere and nothing left that made the first game so brilliant. the sequel was alsoo shit.

This is splendid news! As someone who greatly enjoyed both "F.E.A.R. 1" and "F.E.A.R. 2", I look forward to getting my grubby gamer paws on a (legal) version of "F.E.A.R. 3".

FEAR1 and Project Origin were fantastic imo but honestly FEAR3 just looks silly now,
alma does'nt look like alma, Paxton Fettel doesn't look anything like the original and i mean comon co-op in FEAR.... really?
and whoever said FEAR 2 was shit is wrong FEAR 2 was great
