Eurogamer.net Podcast #42

GT5! GMAs! Something called Minecraft!

It was Ellie's birthday last week, which means this week, it isn't.

Also absent are hats, celebration, and, somewhat surprisingly, Tom Bramwell. Instead, you've got podcast extraordinaire Tom Champion (whose surname suggests he's immune to failure), GamesIndustry.biz scribe and EG traitor Dan Pearson (whose love of dwarves and fortresses no doubt make his mother very proud) and, shock horror, resident Eurogamer Irishman (it's an in-joke) Scott MacKintosh. Oh, and me, your friendly neighbourhood news editor.

We discuss Medal of Honor, Dead Rising 2, Gran Turismo 5's delay and other gubbins that you'll no doubt enjoy so much your ears will bleed. Or something. We also massage our egos by mentioning Eurogamer's triumphant victory in the best website category at the Games Media Awards last week. Fnar.

What else? There's talk of burning babies (or did we take that bit out?) Bitchy game developers, boredom and something called Minecraft, a game that seems to be driving everybody in the office crazy.

Add to that this week's Forum Affairs thread and our legendary download code giveaway, and the Eurogamer podcast forms the SUPER HYPER ALPHA ULTRA EUROGAMER PODCAST, which shoots lasers from its eyes and stomps on other videogame podcasts with massive mecha feet.
