Red Wii confirmed for UK
Special edition Mario DSi also incoming.
The special edition red Mario Wii revealed last week will arrive in UK stores on 29th October, Nintendo has confirmed, two weeks before it goes on sale in Japan.
Official Nintendo Magazine reports that the pack will include a red Wii, a red Wii Remote Plus, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports and a preloaded copy of the original NES Donkey Kong.
This differs slightly from the Japanese bundle, which comes with Super Mario Bros. rather than Donkey Kong.
Nintendo also confirmed that a limited edition red DSi XL with Mario branding on its shell will launch in the UK on 22nd October. That will come packaged with New Super Mario Bros.
And Mario's birthday celebrations don't end there. On 3rd December you can pick up Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary Edition for the Wii, which comes with a CD soundtrack and retrospective booklet.

Because if not, then I can't see many existing owners buying it.
This is a serious question too, if someone at EG is reading, it'd be nice if you could get Nintendo to clarify this.

Probably because Wii Sports cannot be bought seperately here and if you want it there would be no way to get it if you bought the new bundle. Unless it's being sold seperately now, I don't know.
I really hope that Nintendo comes up with a clever and easy way to transfer everything to a new Wii. Personally I will not get one because I really don't like red gadgets but for people actually considering I really hope that they won't lose everything they bought in the Wii Store.
