Will Wright unveils new TV show

Bar Karma puts you in control.

Will Wright, the creator of Sim City, The Sims and Spore, has lifted the lid on his next project – an interactive TV show where viewers decide what happens next.

Wright first announced his ambitions to make a TV show back in March, but has finally revealed exactly what he's got in the pipeline.

Bar Karma will be a 30 minute episodic show, where registered viewers submit story ideas to the programme's website following each installment, using basic storyboarding tools. The concepts will be shortlisted by producers and thrown open to a public vote. The winning idea then gets filmed.

"Bar Karma is a culmination of over a year's work and I am very excited to see the results as we join together not only gamers and television viewers, but actually create a community that will be empowered with a professional production team," Will Wright insists. "To develop and lead an initiative like this fulfills a long held passion for television."

Bar Karma will be aired on Current TV in the USA, UK, Italy and Ireland from early next year. BSkyB users can find it on channel 183 and Virgin Media subscribers on channel 155.
