    Maybe its just me ... but adding stupid looking costumes to a game like this just puts me off even wanting to try it. Now the weapons i understand, but seriously Capcom , fo with the cheesy costume crap.

    They're just the costumes that were used as pre-order bonuses. I doubt anything will beat the Shaun Of The Dead costume already in the game though.

    I assume these will be free.

    Weapons I might pay a few pence for, but I found the "dressing up" in DR2 to be one of the shortest novelty experiences of my life.

    "Oh, a hat that is generally worn by the opposite sex, but I'm wearing it. Oh agonising mirth, pray leave my body."

    What I want, what I would dearly love, is a 300-esque Spartan costume. Underpants, cape, helmet.

    @DefendoCroc It's not just "stupid looking costumes" they add dramatically to the gameplay mechanics. Got the Ninja suit from GAME (eventually) and you can sneak through the zombies a hell of a lot easier meaning you don't get attacked randomly as often. You also get special moves with swords and edged weapons (sorely missed when I changed out) and according to this "story" there will be more weapons? (Thanks for not giving any details EG - to do your job for you, the Ninja outfit was due out yesterday with another to follow weekly throughout October @ 120MSP each...) Sports fan outfit stops you getting sick when you drink booze (which can no doubt help out in psycho battles) as well as adding an American football tackle move and a bunch of sports related bonuses. Assuming soldier helps with guns and psycho means you can go mental with chainsaws et al.

    @billythekid Kill 1000 zombies hand to hand in one playthrough. Bingo. If you take care of 10 psychos you get a prison jumpsuit and if you get ending S you receive Arthur's Armour from Ghouls and Ghosts (to go with the helmet winnable in the poker game, the beard from the hairdressers and the $2,000,000 boots from the pawn shop).

    New weapons? The pics only shows the katana, machine gun and football....

    Ahhh, if the costumes affect gameplay, that is quite different.

    @Moribundman .. yes i guess if the costumes effect gameplay then that is different, i tried the demo and the costume bits i found did nothing except make chuck look a twat.
