FIFA 11 makes over £28m in UK alone

FIFA 11 has sold a whopping 821,000 copies in its opening weekend on sale in the UK.
It made £28.93 million – the second best ever day one UK sales, according to MCV.
FIFA 11 is easily the best-selling game in the UK this week. It had the strongest launch of any game in the series, and had the third best week one sales ever in the UK. Modern Warfare 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV remain the first and second biggest.
In total, FIFA 11 accounted for 51 per cent of the UK's total game sales last week.
Tom awarded the EA Vancouver-developed game 8/10 in Eurogamer's review.

I was a converted fanboy from PES since 09, but I still never thought Fifa was special, I just bought the 'better' football game. I've no doubts about it now though. Fifa 11 is special. It's the best football game ever made. And yes, it's better than the PES of old.

Well, FIFA aint my cup of tea, I got too used to PES gameplay which is after all very different.
Though PES has many issues it's still my favoruite because it gives me a better feeling of having control.
FIFA just doesnt react the way I want it. Hard to explain. Guess its the same old discussion again

Unfortunately there is no real competition for NFL and Fifa games, I remember the dreamcast days where 2K offerings were something special, and winning eleven football games on ps1-ps2 were ruling the world....
I guess these days are gone, hopefully not forever....

I only ask because I managed to snag a bundle of the 250gb Slim and Fifa 11 for £180. I won't ever play Fifa 11, but it was still £10 cheaper than the console alone than any other shop, which is why I went for it.
