LBP2 will have 10-level Move demo

Then full support post-launch.

LittleBigPlanet 2 will ship with a multi-level PlayStation Move demo that shows you how Sony's new controls could work with Sony's new game, Eurogamer has learned.

But full PlayStation Move support won't be added until after LittleBigPlanet 2's January 2011 release.

"With the main game there will be an extra game - possibly on another disc, maybe on the same disk - that will contain 10-ish levels that demonstrate how Move could work with LittleBigPlanet 2," Media Molecule's community manager James Spafford explained.

"And shortly after release we'll do a full DLC pack that's purely Move, and we'll give away the free controls so people can make their own Move levels as well."

Spafford spoke after an illuminating Eurogamer Expo 2010 presentation by Media Molecule in which the game's makers invited the audience to pool their ideas and create a LBP2 level.

The result: a giant zombie panda killed by cheese-vomit shot from a gun. There were even apple-tanks built right before our eyes that Sackboy could pilot himself.

Media Molecule also revealed a new reward system based around pins for community level builders. There were problems caused by offering Trophies, apparently.

We also earned that each player has their own camera when they play online. Previously all players would share a camera, meaning if you fell behind you would respawn. Now players have the freedom to roam.

Media Molecule's Eurogamer Expo 2010 communal brainstorm highlighted the wealth of possibilities open to creators in LittleBigPlanet 2. New tools such as the Grabinator gloves and the Creatinator helmet open up new avenues to explore.

Media Molecule also used those tools to build the raft of top-notch levels in LittleBigPlanet 2, some of which involve flying on the backs of giant bees and shooting honey globules in the style of a side-scrolling shooter.

LittleBigPlanet 2 was delayed to January 2011. Media Molecule applauded fans' reaction to the news.

Very pleased to hear about the independant cameras, but have to say I'm dissapointed that the extra development time wasn't enough for Move support out of the box :/

I remember back in the day when there was no internet for people to whine on, about the inevitable bugs in finished games and no way to fix them.

I remember back in the day when there was no Internet for companies to spend years hyping up their products on, only for the finished article to inevitably fall short.

Really looking forward to the full version of the game ... currenty fooling around with the beta and there are many great improvements and new features allready :)

I wonder if Move controls are available for create mode from day 1? ... not for gameplay stuff but just for editing, moving objects, etc.

Years? LBP2 wasn't announced until June this year. Move is an extra you've still got a fully working LBP game to be getting on with.

Why does the debug info show an average frame-rate of about 35 but the EG one show 30ish?
Could not care less about the move whether it comes on an extra disc or not, I just wanna play it and my DS3 suffices like it will for most people.

This should make levels much more interesting since you can have everyone split up now.

The news about the camera is great! I can imagine having very advanced puzzles, where all players start on different points in the maps and have to do synchronized stuff to advance! Have to get planning on my maps... :)
