Uncharted 2 GOTY edition for US

Naughty Dog and Sony are to released a Game of the Year edition of acclaimed action-adventure Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in North America, celebrating the first anniversary of its release.

As detailed on the US PlayStation Blog, the new edition will cost $50 and include the original Blu-ray of the game as well as a voucher entitling you to download $35 worth of bonus content.

This content includes a couple of multiplayer map packs, several avatar and skin packs, some special multiplayer items and perks, some Uncharted motion comics and PSP game Pinball Heroes - Uncharted.

We've contacted Sony to see if the GOTY edition will see release in the UK and Europe.

Naughty Dog will also be celebrating one year since Uncharted 2's debut on 16th October with a special, one-day, anniversary playlist for the game's online multiplayer.

It's a 10, you know.

    European GOTY edition : standard game Bluray plus a post it note with 'cheers' written on it.

    I just started playing through this again for the second time a few days ago. I'd forgotten how perfect the whole bloody thing is.

    Uncharted 2 was one of my GOTY but I never really enjoyed the multiplayer side of things. I wish they had done some more singleplayer DLC.

    I've really been getting into the multiplayer mode on this game recently. The co-op modes are great - so many different variations of game type/map and the AI is pretty decent.

    Not sure this GOTY version is really worth a purchase though - the majority of the DLC is just 'fluff', with only two DLC packs which actually offer more in terms of game experience. I personally just went for the 'Siege' expansion pack, which offers two extra co-op maps, a new co-op mode and six extra skins for under a fiver. The rest, I can leave.

    I wish we had a game this good to luck forward to this year. I would be really happy to get a new Uncharted every year.

    UC2 is one of the few games i finished playing, spent even some time in the MP beta and will play it again someday.. only 25% trophies simply sucks

    Don't suppose the co-op modes you mention work "same-console" (eg. split / single screen)?

    Played this game a few days ago (finaly bought a PS3) and I have to say, that this game doesn't seems so perfect to me. Seems to me like the second biggest overhyped thing in "next-gen" after the shitty Halo 3. But yeah its much much better than Halo, but I hope you get the point, its not deserved 10 at all...
