Fable III Achievements leaked

Sex, chickens and democracy.

Fable III may not be out until 29th October, but its Achievements are already doing the rounds thanks to internet detectives at Xbox360Achievements.org.

If you don't want the game spoiled then be careful what you read on the list below. We'll try to focus on benign highlights up here.

For example, there's one called "Cross-Dimensional Conception", which is awarded for having a kid with somebody you meet on Xbox Live, and another called "Coronation Chicken", which is for performing a royal judgement while dressed as a chicken.

Fable III takes you back to Albion and eventually puts you on the throne, where you must consider complex issues such as crime, taxation, poverty and whether that bloke offering you party drugs works for the News of the World or not.

Check out our in-depth Fable III hands-on preview for more.

For even more, of course, you could also come along to the Eurogamer Expo next week, where Peter Molyneux will give a speech on Fable III and where you will be able to play it yourself.

Brilliant. Looking forward to Fable III. Haven't played any of them yet!

"Save the maximum number of citizens" sounds like the grindy one. That and the property empire is back.
  • Tiresias #6 2 years ago

October will be the busiest month this year so i wont be buying this.

Bloody Xbox Live prejudice. What about those of us who co-op on the same console, eh?! WHAT ABOUT THEM?!

    Bloody Lionhead bastards.

To be fair, actually, most of those achievements are really, really funny, just like the FII ones; I'm pleased to see some "grinding" achievements (kill 500 enemies or whatever), as that's the sort of thing that can (hopefully) be earned whilst co-opping, and my wife and I tend to co-op in each other's worlds quite a lot.

Those are some fantastic looking achievements. The best kind that compliment a gaming experience rather than dull repetitive pointless ones in most games. This game is going to be such fun you owe it to yourself to order it (unless you dont get british humour).

having a kid with somebody you meet on Xbox Live

I don't get why Fable is so obsessed with marriage/sex etc.. it doesn't make a more engaging experience, it's just lame.

  • kinky_mong #11 2 years ago

In fairness to Lionhead they do make some inventive and fun achievements. Shame the games are overhyped crap though.
  • geeza2020 #12 2 years ago

Overhyped? Yes. Crap? Think that's a little harsh.
  • metalangel #13 2 years ago

@zissou: Exactly. In a game supposedly about making your own decisions, those are some big ones to pressure you into.

I didn't bother with either in Fable 2 except for the achievements. And then I immediately reverted to a previous save. Much as in real life, I felt my adventures were better suited to living in sin!

"For example, there's one called "Cross-Dimensional Conception", which is awarded for having a kid with somebody you meet on Xbox Live

To be fair, that will be impossible to achieve. The last time I went to meet a woman off Live she turned out to be a 43 year-old, white beared man, in stockings. Called Jeremy.

I take it from all the co-op achievements mentioning X Box Live that they've predictably screwed over those who want to play local multiplayer? And all this talk about 'revolutionary new co-op options' being conveniently vague in the hype interviews was the harbinger of said news?

Having children with Xbox live friends will be a bit weird, but I'll get over that in the name of Achievements.
  • beatwolf #17 2 years ago

sounds like another children's game from Molyneux. Fart expressions and what have you. Fable 2 sucked donkeys balls and so will this anti-rpg.
Why doesn't he just join up with The Sims developers if thats the kind of game he really wants to make (which, if you judge from the achievements, it seems it is)

    edit: spelling mistakes :p

+2 Home co-op players here. (No interest in giving Mircosoft any more money.)

Not yet convinced, and if anything this list isn't helping.

Shit i almost missed my 3 times a week fable update!
