Valhalla Studios boss Tomonobu Itagaki has told the Japanese press he would like Devil's Third to have 3D options on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
"It's not a game that's built around it, but I'd like to at least offer it as an option," he told Impress Watch in comments translated by Andriasang.
"I know we can make it compatible on PS3. Xbox 360 too can also be made compatible if we do it side by side."
Itagaki said he was very interested in 3D as a gadget-hungry consumer, although he acknowledged that things like the need to wear glasses were offputting.
Earlier this year Itagaki told Eurogamer, "I'm very interested in looking into 3D. We've been looking at what's available for 3D PC games, and I also have a 3D TV at home now." So that's one person then.
Devil's Third publisher THQ also has an interest in the technology. Executive vice president of core games Danny Bilson told us prior to E3 that his company was already looking into it with a view to doing something soon.
"For now it's fun and fun is good and interesting, but we're definitely experimenting and have a couple of projects in 3D that you'll see at the show," he said at the time.
Devil's Third is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012.
