SouthPeak cagey on Two Worlds II date
Definitely not out tomorrow. This year?
SouthPeak has scotched hopes that Two Worlds II will be released tomorrow. It most certainly won't.
The plot thickened when Eurogamer asked for clarification on when the sprawling fantasy RPG will be released: "TBC," we were told by the publisher. TBC? For a game supposedly due out this autumn?
Retailer ShopTo increased suspicion of a delay, telling Eurogamer that publisher SouthPeak had said "late October at the earliest" when the two companies spoke "the other day".
We've cast our net further and will update this story with what we find out.
As of now, Play.com still carries the scotched 17th Setpember release date, HMV and ShopTo list a 29th October date, Zavvi touts an 18th March 2011 date and Amazon and GAME have no date listed at all.
Two Worlds II is being developed by Reality Pump for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The sequel promises to be much improved, as Christian Donlan found out for Eurogamer earlier this year.

As someone mentioned why bother putting out a release date at all if your gonna piss in the face of your loyal fans at the last moment, yes this game has loyal fans, TW 1 was actually a very good game if you gave it a chance people complain about bugs and glitches but none of them were game breaking like the ones in Oblivion.
This sort of business practice can only negatively affect sales in the long run and if i was the chief dev i would be seriously considering renewing my contract.
Like i said just a guess.
Edit: going by what Quint mentioned this makes even more sense now.
