The entire game manual for Codemasters' F1 2010 game has appeared online.

You can read it right now On Steam. But bear in mind that the game isn't out until 24th September.

The manual details every area of the game, from gameplay modes to mechanics. In single-player, for instance, you'll be able to swap between Career, Grand Prix and Time Trial modes. In multiplayer, meanwhile, there are various Quick Modes: Pole Position, Sprint, Endurance and Online Grand Prix. The latter has its own qualifying round.

There are also Custom Matches, which allow the rules of a Grand Prix to be tinkered with.

F1 2010 is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. All three games will be released simultaneously.

Hmm. I'm still unsure as to whether to go for 360 or PC. 60+ fps on PC vs decent online on xbox..... hmmm

It certainly looks nice. The physics are worrying though. Watch the real life box and see how many steering corrections are needed when an F1 driver is driving. Then notice how easy it is to drive an F1 in the game with a novice behind the wheel. Just point and shoot really. But hey, maybe all sorts of driving aids where on.

If there is a demo then I'll try it out. Certainly not buying sight unseen.

My worry would be if the game favours/allows bully driving. For example hitting the rear of the car on front, bashing somebody into the wall etc. These are common in racing games but would not be tolerated in real life racing. Very annoying (to the point of ruining a game) when you get fools that will crash on purpose just to ruin other peoples enjoyment of the game. RaceDriver Grid is littered with those fools.
So my hope is is that this game isn't too realistic with car damage. Hopefully crashing into somebody does huge damage to your car and not too much to the 'target' car. Here's hoping for 'black flagging' drivers in game and simulated cranes to automatically remove crashed cars.
Difficult to play Grid much with fools driving backwards, sitting on the racing line and pissing others off. Will this game be spoiled with this carry on too?

Day 1 purchase for me and I've even dusted off my wheel in time. Graphics looks fantastic and I've heard the handling is really good as well. Codies are a safe pair of hands with a driving game after all.

Had this pre-ordered for months now, the 24th can't come soon enough.

Better dig out the Steering Wheel I think.

Thats a worry I have also, but from the footage ive seen online, you get penalties for illegal overtakes & ramming people, I just hope that applies to the multiplayer also.

Game looks amazing though
