New Mass Effect 2 DLC fixed

No longer Shadow of the Lairbroken.

BioWare's community liaison Chris Priestly has told fans that the Lair of the Shadowbroker add-on for Mass Effect 2 has been fixed.

"People using Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 can download and play Lair of the Shadowbroker. If you are an Xbox 360 user, please go ahead and enjoy the new DLC," Priestly posted on the BioWare forum.

"Lair of the Shadowbroker should now be fixed for the PC and should be able to be downloaded now for both the PC and Xbox 360.

"Thanks to everyone for their patience and help as we fixed this issue."

PC users had reported downloading gigabytes of zeros instead of a working Lair of the Shadowbroker file.

Lair of the Shadowbroker is based around Liara T'soni, squad member from Mass Effect 1, who's intent on rescuing a man the mysterious Shadowbroker has captured.

The conent costs 800 Microsoft/BioWare Points.

Eurogamer's Lair of the Shadowbroker review will be published this afternoon.

Huh, I didn't even know it was out.

Played through this last night. Easily my favourite of the DLC that's been released so far. Surely there can't be much more though? Maybe one or two to connect ME2 to ME3?

Kind of glad I didn't have enough time to grab this yesterday!

Stupid question alert: I'm still playing through the main ME2 game – but can you play this and other DLC post-main game completion like in ME1?

    Thank you please.

@fatsojetson - yes, all the dlc can be played post DLC

It is a fantastic piece of DLC, made all the more special, becasuse my last thirty minutes were spent not fighting, but jsut talking and reading about my squad.

The consequences of some my decisions actually hit home in this DLC. I wish i had remained faithful on my two prime sheps.

Luckily, im starting a third prime shep, so this one wont be a horn dog for a low cut jumpsuit.

Yeh I really enjoyed it, the Azure planet bit made me laugh.
I did the whole thing in an hour and a half though. But the game is definately better with this added on.
I cheated on Liara and feel slightly guilty now too. Time for another playthrough!
The game'll seem twice as long playing through all the DLCs before I fight the Collectors.

Completed it last night. Really really enjoyed it, and the twists are shocking, particularly the revelation of the Shadow Broker's identity. I was genuinely not expecting that at all. In fact, I was in WTF mode, even as I battled him. I love how they give you an insight into the goings on of the Mass Effect galaxy. Using the terminals was an inspired step. I can't believe the Shadow Broker had THAT much intel on everyone! He even noted down who the Illusive Man has been having sex with!
There are a lot of laughs to be had. Reading Grunt's extranet search terms and watching videos of that annoying journalist getting punched by a variety of interviewees was especially hilarious.
My only problems have been that the Ilium car chase was a bit crap and short and I want to pursue a new relationship with Liara since I seduced both her and Ashley in ME1 (but chose Ashley). Luckily I still have my lesbian Shepard file on hold.

EDIT: Oh, and the in-game jokes are great. Best line from Shepard: "remember when you could use a bit of omni-gel for everything?" and Liara replies "yes, many people miss those days".

Need to replay the whole game again. Half my crew died somehow :[

This DLC annoys me because I dumped Liara due to her limp showing in the main game. Had presumed that Bioware marginalising the choices made in ME1 -> ME2 would mean that dumping her would not mean much come ME3. But now they release DLC that sounds like it reacts to your decisions and suddenly I feel bad.

Not bad enough to replay the whole game though. Sheppard only had Ashley and Liara to chose from originally and Liara was the choice that said humanity was open minded and ready to take its place on the galaxy stage.
