Mythos closed beta sign-ups open

Flagship's MMO rescued proper.

Mythos, the hack-and-slash MMO rescued from sunken Hellgate developer Flagship Studios, is ready for closed beta.

Names are being taken down now on the European Mythos website. Incidentally, the latter is brand new and stuffed with fresh information, pictures and video.

Mythos was taken over by HanbitSoft last year and improvements were apparently made across the board. The biggest alteration may be the ability to swap from the existing isometric viewpoint to a classic behind-the-character 3D view.

Frogster is publishing the game in English, German, French and Turkish. Mythos will launch in full next year.

    would be nice if the beta registration page actually worked....

    If you like torchlight, have a look at mythos

    @powerslave, create a frogster account and opt in via that https://account .frogster-america.com/ (change the america bit)

    Weird, mine took me straight to the frogster site to 'activate' mythos as if adding a subscription. Then when I went to sign my mate up it had a proper beta form (machine specs, mmo experience etc.)

    I'm looking forward to it though, closed beta or not, as I loved Mythos when it was around the last time. I hope they've managed to keep much of its brilliance intact. And I'll support Runic Games whenever their Torchlight MMO comes out too.

    Looks like a clunky and earlier version of torchlight, which would make sense considering the games history.

    MMO trappings with torchlight, sounds promising but iam not sure, that trailer really doesnt help the game. As its due next year will this be going up aganist Torchlight 2 (or the MMO version) hmm i wonder.

    That Trailer is oooooold. Flagship and Pingo are already defunct, what's the point in showing a 3 years old Trialer? There is a new one on the European Mythos site. As far as I can tell, Hanbit polished the graphics too.

    At first I was excited to hear Mythos was coming to EU. But unfortunately Ive dealt with Frogster before, and personally I will NEVER support another game of theirs after playing runes of magic.
    Ill explain myself here...
    - Firstly THEIR security issues are made your problem. They were sending all psw etc via clear test that lead to countless hacks. Supports answer to it was simple "Security is your problem, dont share your psw"
    - They are very happy to take ur money, but wont provide support in any way or form. In fact you'll be lucky if you ever get anything other than the automated emails.
    - If you bring something up on the forums questioning Frogster or one of the mods, you will be banned. You have been warned.
    -No proactive behaviour. They wait till things go HORRIBLY wrong, then blame the clients for the problem, and a year later they will "attempt" to fix it.
    - Dare i start with a bug list... Treasure trove is unplayable with the bugs and the lag that server has. They will leave "expliots" open for a year, then ban anyone used the expliot as is the case with the daily issues at the moment.

    If anyone wants more info feel free to pm me. But the bottom line is just cause of how frogster works, I will never give them a cent again
